Lezyne Mega Drive XL - 100 Lumens
The Lezyne Mega Drive XL Front Bicycle Light extracts 1000 lumens from a compact, self-contained headlight. The Mega Drive clamps to your handlebar, no cords or bulky battery packs, and lights up the trail in front of you. It's that simple. The most obvious difference between the Mega Drive and other lights is the CNC'd aluminum body. In the event that you take a spill (not hard to do on a trail at night), the Mega Drive can handle it. The machined aluminum body also dissipates heat, which can damage Li-ion batteries over time. It also looks good. You'll downplay the importance of style, but let's face it-you don't want to hang some cheap, plastic gumball-machine headlight on your carbon race machine. The Mega Drive is sporting a redesigned power button that increases the headlight's water- and weather-resistance.
Lezyne Mega Drive XL Top Features:
- Max lumens output up to 100 lumens
- 4 lighting modes: Blast, Enduro, Economy, Flash
- Lezyne's advanced electronics ensure their lamps emit light at a constant, unwavering lumen level.
- The lamp's CNC aluminium casing is lightweight and strong.
- Self-contained design - the Li-Ion battery is stored inside the body of the torch - no external battery pack required.
- The lamp clicks onto or off its handlebar bracket in a second. This arrangement is far more convenient for commuting compared with being obliged to remove, say, dual headlamps, cables and a frame-fit battery pack whenever you stopped to do some shopping, as was the case with first-generation high-power bicycle lighting systems.
- Highly water resistant - the lamp is O-ring sealed to FL1 standard.
- Convenient USB-rechargeable, high-quality, exchangeable, Lezyne Lithium Ion battery.
- The charger plugs into the lamp - no need to take lamp apart to access battery to recharge it.
- Unlike more bulky chargers, it's a cinch to carry this wee USB cable charger, say between home and workplace.
- Infinite Light - on the off chance its run time is ever insufficient, you can always carry a spare battery. This is not always the case. Most self-contained rechargeable bike lights have a sealed casing that doesn't allow access to the battery.
- The no-tools-required universal-size, Composite Matrix bracket allows you to angle the lamp as required.
- Even Lezyne's mode sequence is better thought out.
- 2 year warranty
- Water-resistant
- Li-ion batteries included
- 5 hours recharge time
- 250g claimed weight
The new power button contains the green and red LEDs that allow you to monitor battery level without losing a pedal stroke. When the headlight is on, the indicator (located on top of the light housing) will be either green, red, or flashing red to indicate power level. Lezyne's Infinite Light feature is another unique innovation that adds versatility and usability for endurance riders, 24-hour racers, or anyone planning to outride the battery's burn time. If you burn out your battery, just pop it out and slide in a fully charged Li-ion. It sounds simple but it's a rare feature among trail lights and it allows you to ride as long as you want, depending on the number of backup-batteries you decide to carry.
Another performance-enhancing innovation is Lezyne's Constant Current technology. Constant Current delivers even and constant lumen output over the entire life of the battery without dimming or fading out as the battery loses charge. This feature increases efficiency to allow the Mega Drive to burn brighter, longer. The Mega Drive is also equipped with Lezyne's Maximum Optical Reflection one-piece internal reflection technology.
